Tscimminkel ende de vos Reinaert

Tscimminkel sach den vos reinaert
Draghen I langhen staert.
‘Ay, reinaert,’ seegt hi, ‘edel here,
Dijn stert verweegt di soe sere,
Gheefs mi I luttel op hoveschede,
Bachten mi te decken mede.’ -
‘Ic hadde liever,’ seide reinaert,
‘Dat ic noch ware meer verswaert,
Ende hi mi vele meer verwoeghe,
Dan ics di gave te dinen ghenoeghe
Ende du driven souds daer mede
Dine grote werdichede.’
Aldus es menech rijc man.
Al haddi goets te vele, nochtan
Soude hijt laten eer verdwinen,
Eer hi iet gave van den sinen.
Bedi sal hi in den ketel driven
Metten andren keytiven.
